Heather MacLeod

I am so pleased to expand on my lifelong passion for animals by introducing canine massage therapy and professional cat grooming to The Dancing Hound. Canine wellness is a subject that is very dear to me, and becoming a certified canine massage therapist now allows me to provide a new dimension of pet care to my clients.

I have been grooming dogs professionally for three and a half years, and love every minute of it. Animals have always been a huge part of my life - right from the start! I am constantly learning more about the best ways to groom, massage, and improve the lives of the animals that I have the honour of working with. I truly believe that regular grooming and holistic animal care, along with traditional veterinary medicine, are the keys to keeping our pets happy and well.

I hold an honours BA from the University of Toronto, and have completed many project management and publishing courses at Ryerson. I graduated from grooming school in 2010, am certified in pet first aid and CPR, and am a certified canine massage therapist (CCMT).

Throughout my life I have had the joy of owning and caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, chickens, mice, fish, pet birds, and a very special hedgehog named 'Daisy'. I currently live with Roo, my pet greyhound, and together we visit my beautiful horse, 'Willy', whenever we have the chance.
